Organize

I like lists and things in their place. I love binders and have many of them for organizing different areas of my life. Our trip easily fit into my binder way of thinking, not to mention my affinity for lists and things in their place.

Here is our trip binder. I had thought it would be neat to put a map with a line of where we will visit on the front cover. But I could never make it look like I wanted so I settled for the maps of Germany we'll take along.

Each tab is labeled with the name of the city we plan to visit. Behind each tab I placed notebook paper for our lists of things to see and do in that city as well as a printed copy of the reservations for places to stay or tours we plan on taking. A master copy of our calendar is in the front of the binder along with the dates and times of our air travel.

Yes all of this could be kept on the computer as well. But I really like having the binder. It is a great place to keep all of our information in one place. We know where to write things down, know where to go for a telephone number or reservation, and know what we have already thought about or what still needs to be decided.

This binder along with our travel guides have been a valuable tool for us in planning our trip.

 

30 Days

30 days hath April, June, September and November. . .and also the time left before we depart!

I'm starting to have my pre-vacation panic. As soon as I make a good list and review what is already prepared, the panic will subside. There isn't a lot left to do.

We have purchased the clothes needed for each person save one item, we still need to find shoes to fit Abigail. We had no luck the other day we spent all day shopping.

We need to locate a SELK church in which to attend service while in Munich. If you know of one, let us know!

We're making arrangements with family to get us to and from the airport.

We are also working hard to stay on track with our schoolwork in order to finish before we leave.

We are all getting very, very excited. It is hard to imagine that our dream will come true in such a short time. Despite my pre-vacation panic, we'll be ready, and definitely will have the trip of a lifetime!
